Subsequent characterization of the organoid platforms must be shown to mimic and recapitulate the native correlative biological function. Learn to Use BeoShock for your Advanced Research Computing Needs
Wichita State University continues to host Beoshock, a High-Performance Computing Cluster (HPC). This HPC is available and free to faculty members, researchers and students engaged in course work or research activities. BeoShock runs the CentOS Linux operating system and features approximately 720 processor cores, two high memory compute nodes with 1.5 terabytes of memory, and four graphics processing unit (GPU) accelerators. BeoShock also has a variety of software tools that may be helpful in your research endeavors, such as Matlab, Mathematica, R, Python and many more.

Megan grew up in Wichita, Kansas. She earned her BFA in Theatre from Emporia State University followed by an MFA in Acting from West Virginia. She has worked in several non-profit organizations and institutions of higher education. Her career in research administration has spanned a decade including both pre- and post-award positions. In fact, Megan worked for WSU for a year in pre-award before heading west to California where she weathered the pandemic amid the gorgeous weather. She recently moved back to the area to be closer to family. She loves hanging out with her husband, son and their two dogs. She has a passion for upcycling and thrift shopping. National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) New Research Initiative: Humanities Perspectives on Artificial Intelligence
“Under this agency-wide initiative, NEH will support research projects that seek to understand and address the ethical, legal, and societal implications of artificial intelligence (AI). NEH is particularly interested in projects that explore the impacts of AI-related technologies on truth, trust,and democracy; safety and security; and privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties.”

White House Establishes Women’s Health Research Initiative
“The White House has announced the establishment of the Women’s Health Research Initiative within the Office of the First Lady. The initiative aims to improve women’s health in the United States by accelerating research on the unique health needs of women across their lifespans and therefore fundamentally change how we approach and fund women’s health research.”
