The PA program at Wichita State was one of the first PA programs in the nation. The
program offers a Master of Physician Associate (MPA) degree and prepares students
to practice evidence-based, patient-centered medicine as an integral part of the healthcare

The Physician Associate (PA) program at Wichita State is the first and longest-running
PA program in Kansas and one of the first in the nation. With a combined 130 years
clinical experience and 75 years teaching experience, we are dedicated to the success
of our students, and we consider every student a future colleague.
Our program has a 50-year record of excellence with board pass rates consistently
above the national average and strong community affiliations across Kansas, offering

Aaron McKinney Memorial
The PA Department at WSU is honored to announce the Aaron McKinney Memorial. We are
honored to announce the Aaron McKinney Memorial for PA student scholarship. Aaron
McKinney, husband and father of three, graduated from the WSU PA Program 2013. He
unexpectedly lost his life in 2014 at the age of 33, when his bicycle was tragically
struck by a car as he was training for a triathlon.
