Bachelor's to Master'sInnovation Design

Wichita State's accelerated bachelor's-to-master's program lets you complete an advanced degree in innovation design, faster, by allowing you to take graduate-level courses while completing your bachelor's degree.

An Honors Baccalaureate (HB) and a Master's in Innovation Design (MID) merges arts, science, and technology curricula, creating opportunities for you to collaborate with faculty across WSU’s colleges. The program nurtures your design-thinking skills, building your ability to develop creative solutions, communicate effectively, apply entrepreneurial principals and develop prototypes.

As a Master of Innovation Design student, you can create products that will help others.

James Balman used software he developed to make a difference for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

His neural image technology helped determine damage to structures quickly and safely, allowing for a faster appraisal and letting residents get the insurance coverage they needed to start over.

Curriculum

Upon admission to the dual / accelerated program, you'll be granted tentative admission to the graduate program in communication and allowed to enroll in courses for graduate credit, including 800-level courses, prior to completing undergraduate degree requirements.

You're encouraged to create a tentative plan of study in consultation with your undergraduate coordinator and/or graduate coordinator.
