Graduate Certificates

What's a certificate?

Wichita State is expanding its number of graduate certificate programs to better meet your educational needs—and career goals.

Certificates are a group of courses, often from different disciplines, that address a special topic—equipping you with additional knowledge and skills that complement your graduate degree and help boost your career.

For example, the graduate certificate in public finance combines courses in economics, public and nonprofit financial management, and budgeting. Once completed, certificates appear on your transcript.

  • Choose from 40+ graduate certificate programs (with more on the way).
  • Courses within certificate programs may be stackable toward your degree.
  • Many certificates may be completed online.

Wichita State is expanding its number of undergraduate certificate programs to better meet your educational needs — and career goals.

Similar to a minor, certificates are a group of courses that address a special topic — equipping you with additional knowledge and skills that complement your major. However, certificates often combine courses from different disciplines.

For example, the undergraduate certificate in business analytics combines courses from finance, marketing, accounting and economics. Once completed, certificates appear on your transcript.

  • Courses within certificate programs may be stackable toward your degree.
