The Cohen Honors College at Wichita State University challenges ambitious students in any major to build a better future through rigorous classes, problem solving across disciplines, independent and collaborative research, and community service. Created in 2014, the Cohen Honors College has seen significant growth, to more than 600 students.

Cohen Honors students take some of the coolest courses on campus, design their own course of study and enjoy increased student-faculty interaction due to small class sizes. They are encouraged to go beyond the classroom with service learning or to apply for a research grant or a Cohen Enhancement Scholarship to support study abroad, National Student Exchange, an unpaid internship or conference travel. Graduates are well prepared for the rigors of graduate or professional school and leadership in their career and community.

Hutch Community College Photo

Built on the pillars of Character, Community, Empowerment, Knowledge, and Opportunity, the Hutchinson Community College Honors Program provides students with small classes that allow them to go further in-depth with the subject material as they strengthen their critical thinking skills. Through a one-on-one faculty mentorship, students are able to delve into undergraduate research opportunities during their first year of college. Launched in 1993, the honors program has a long history of preparing students for life after graduation whether it be transferring to a four-year institution or entering the workforce.
