With the enactment of the Kansas Personal and Family Protection Act and subsequent amendments, the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) has directed each state university to develop and follow policies and procedures for the safe possession and storage of lawfully possessed handguns and determine whether and to what extent otherwise lawfully possessed concealed handguns will be prohibited in any university buildings or areas of buildings.
