The use of laboratory animals at Wichita State University (WSU) is governed by an interrelated, dynamic system of regulations, policies, guidelines, and procedures. WSU has established an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) which oversees the Animal Care and Use Program, Facilities and Protocols. The use of any live vertebrate animal in research, testing, and teaching must be reviewed and approved by the IACUC prior to initiation.
The IACUC meets on the first Thursday of the month. Please submit documents to the IACUC inbox at least two weeks before the meeting – IACUC@wichita.edu.
