Jan. 25, 2024 — The B-1 System Program Office (SPO) has increased the ceiling on their award with Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) to continue the B-1’s Digital Engineering transformation to $200 million. The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences helped form the strategic partnership and created a flexible contract structure, which allows NIAR and the B-1 SPO to adapt to real-time requirements and warfighter needs.

Jan. 22, 2024 — Wichita State University has selected the top 13 finalists in the 2024 Distinguished Scholarship Invitational (DSI). 

Jan. 22, 2024 — The FirePoint Innovations Center at Wichita State University announced it has been selected to deliver Defense Innovation OnRamp Hub programming for the National Security Innovation Network through the newly established Great Plains Mission Acceleration Center, an innovation and collaboration hub designed to connect small businesses, academia and the Department of Defense to support defense-focused technology development.

Jan. 22, 2024 — Three people will be inducted into Wichita State University’s Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame at 2 p.m. Feb. 6 in Wiedemann Hall on the WSU campus. 

Jan. 19, 2024 - Phase One of the Wichita Biomedical Campus being built in the heart of downtown Wichita now has its official look. The joint health sciences project between Wichita State University and the University of Kansas will bring about remarkable opportunities for collaboration, innovation and research.
