Aug. 28, 2019 -- CollegeNET Inc., a leading provider of web-based on-demand technologies for higher education and the developer of the Social Mobility Index (SMI), has presented its 2019 Social Mobility Innovator Awards to 10 student success professionals from six universities across the nation.

Aug. 26, 2019 -- A grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held for Boats and Bikes at River Vista, a retail watercraft and bicycle rental facility – from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at 150 N. McLean Blvd.

Aug. 21, 2019 -- Wichita State University continues to make strides toward improving opportunities for women in senior leadership, with women currently holding six out of 10 WSU dean positions throughout the university.

Aug. 20, 2019 -- The first hotel on the Wichita State campus is beginning construction. A 106-room Hyatt Place hotel will break ground next week on Wichita State’s Innovation Campus, within walking distance of the new Fuzzy’s Tacos, the Shocker Store and Starbucks.

Aug. 15, 2018 -- Later this month, a piece of space race history is viewable on Wichita State University’s campus. A special exhibition titled “Lowell Nesbitt: Apollo 1969” will go on display at the John Bardo Center from Aug. 19-Nov. 17, and feature prints made by artist Lowell Nesbitt.
