Oct. 26, 2023 - Support from the Rudd Scholars program helped Hallie Fritz adjust to college and find internships. She is active in the St. Paul Catholic Student Center and works at Credo Coffee Shop. Wichita State is proud of its role helping Rudd Scholars pursue passions and realize dreams in the state’s largest city.

Sept. 25, 2023 - Rudd Scholar Bayle Sandy found a sense of community at Wichita State University and enjoyed support from many sources for her academic and extracurricular pursuits. Sept. 19, 2023 - Wichita State student Denae Sawyer spent the spring semester interning remotely with Dzanc Books. Her work consisted of reading and researching to determine if the manuscript fit Dzanc’s standards and sensibility. She also evaluated the potential audience and marketing strategies.

Sept.14, 2023 - Amy Nguyen uses the Rudd Scholars networking and mentoring programs at Wichita State. She made lifelong friends and participated in numerous campus activities. Wichita State is proud of its role helping Rudd Scholars pursue passions and realize dreams in the state’s largest city.

Sept. 5, 2023 - “Teaching is for Superheroes!” offers “insight and inspiration for your classroom (tights and cape optional.” It’s targeted at new, veteran and aspiring teachers and uses superhero archetypes to help educators understand their role, improve their skills and maintain enthusiasm during a challenging time.

Aug. 4, 2023 — Wichita State University and WSU Tech are key drivers of economic growth, fueling job creation, fostering industry partnerships, and supporting local businesses — and the numbers prove it. According to the 2022 Economic Impact Study, WSU and WSU Tech’s total economic impact in Kansas in 2021 was $1.3 billion.

May 3, 2023 — Mary Elizabeth Thornton is ready to put her education at Wichita State University into practice and begin teaching mathematics to middle school students in North Carolina.

March 3, 2023 — Wichita State University has selected the 2023 recipient of the Linwood Sexton Scholarship: Grecia Esparza from Wichita East High School. Esparza will receive a full-ride scholarship to attend Wichita this fall.

Dec. 12, 2022 — Almost 1,300 students are eligible to participate in Wichita State University’s 125th fall commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 in Charles Koch Arena. Media are welcome to attend.
