volunteers, empower others, and change the world, this may be the job for you. This
full-time position plans, organizes and conducts high-energy meal-packing events with
hosts. Travels to various U.S. locations to conduct events. Office work is on location in El Dorado; event work requires short-term travel for
short and long distances—including many weekends. Must have high energy, public speaking
ability, good social skills and ability to engage and connect with volunteers.
- Responsibilities:
- Initiate and cultivate relationships with event hosts, volunteers and partners.
- Plan meal-packing event with event hosts.
- Train, direct and lead Numana volunteers throughout meal packing event.
- Speak publicly to large groups at meal-packing events.
- Oversee event and act quickly to resolve problems to ensure success and completion.
- Maintain a high level of communication and professionalism before, during, and after
events.
- Record information about events in appropriate computer records (database, spreadsheets,
etc.)
- Travel across the U.S. to work with fellow team members at food packaging events.
Traveling to events either by car or airplane. Average event trip is 800 miles round
trip; long trips can be 3,000+ miles round trip.
- Many of the events occur on weekends (with weekday comp time provided).
- Average number of out-of-town or weekend trips: 2-3 per month. Trips range 1–5 days.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Prefer Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, event
management or relevant field; minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- A proven track record of organizing successful events.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must have high energy, public speaking skills and social skills with ability to engage
in large events with volunteers and maintain positive relationships.
- Must be skilled in time management, troubleshooting, planning, problem-solving, basic
mathematics, computer skills, and an overall organized worth ethic.
- Prefer some database experience.
