• Details: The Wichita Eagle hires students for their summer internship program, giving them an opportunity to work as staff members in the newsroom alongside professional journalists. While these are student positions with an opportunity to learn and continue preparation for a news career, there is an expectation of an understanding of basic news standards and ethics, and at least a rudimentary skill set in being able to produce content.

  • Solid news judgment;
  • Drive, with an instinctive grasp of what will engage an audience
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit, good curiosity and high energy
