Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT) Tutorial
Welcome!
The purpose of this tutorial is to inform students about the process of applying for OPT. We will cover eligibility requirements, expectations, and required documentation.
Students are asked to complete the tutorial before any questions regarding OPT will be answered by International Education (IE) staff. Once you have completed the tutorial, you will be able to schedule an OPT filing appointment with an International Student Advisor.
Please read through each and every page carefully. Understanding and adhering to the instructions in this tutorial is a necessary and critical step towards applying for Post-Completion Optional Practical Training (OPT).
