June 9th, 2015 the WSU Office of Special Programs was honored as one of the top programs at the inaugural WBJ Leaders in Diversity Event. The Leaders in Diversity awards program recognized honorees who have demonstrated respect or inclusive treatment for others, advocacy for unrepresented groups and a commitment to the advancement of cultural diversity in the Wichita business community.

The Office of Special Programs is a unit in the Division of Student Affairs and is led by the incomparable Deltha Colvin. The work that Deltha and her team does is extraordinary. They provide opportunity, hope, and support to thousands of people each year and it is great they are being recognized for their tremendous work. To be recognized as one of these seven companies/non-profit agencies is an amazing achievement and very much deserved. The work that Deltha Colvin and Jim Rhatigan started so many years ago is well deserving of this recognition.
