How do Students Qualify for Program Services?

To establish eligibility for program services, the student:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
  • Must be an undergraduate student pursuing a four-year degree at WSU
  • Must be a student with a learning, physical or psychological disability, and provide clear documentation to the program

The students must present the following information according to their disability:

Learning Disability/ADHD/ADD

  • testing administered within the last three years by a licensed professional, which verifies a disability
  • an accompanied report which explains scores and results
  • documented need for services

Medical Disability

  • a statement of diagnosis from a medical doctor including need for services

Psychiatric Disability

  • a statement of diagnosis from a qualified professional
  • an accompanied report explaining symptoms and need for services

All documentation is confidential information and is protected as such. If you have a disability that is not documented, the DSS Staff will assist you in locating a licensed professional qualified to assist you with assessing and documenting your disability.
