LGBTQ+ Student Organizations

Wichita State University is home to hundreds of recognized student organizations spanning a variety of interests and hobbies. Here are some of the groups for our LGBTQ+ community and their allies.

Ambassadors for Diversity and Inclusion

Ambassadors for Diversity and Inclusion are change agents at Wichita State University dedicated to serving and representing the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Ambassadors assist in developing diversity program initiatives, as well as being liaisons to various university committees and student organizations.

Ambassadors consist of WSU students who are committed to promoting deep cultural awareness. They strive to build better intercultural relations while increasing campus-wide participation in cross-cultural and multicultural programs.

LGBTQ+ Ambassadors

LGBTQ+ Ambassadors lead the way in representing queer Shockers across campus. They participate in panels, lead discussions, plan events and help coordinate our annual LGBTQ+ events. THese students also work with community organizations to be mentors for local high school Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) students and invite them to be part of Shocker Nation.

oSTEM at Wichita State University

Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is a national LGBTQ-affirming organization that aims to provide services and support for students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and to create a dynamic network between students and professionals in industry and academia.
