Nov 10, 2017 — By WSU News Services — The Osher Reentry Scholarship Program -- which awards financial assistance to returning adult students -- provided assistance to a record number of students this fall. The program was initiated in 2012 and is now serving 29 students. Wichita State is the only university in Kansas that provides assistance to returning adult students through the Osher Scholarship.

Grace Wilkie Hall is being rededicated in honor of the 50th anniversary of death of Grace Wilkie, for whom the building was named after.

Nov 6, 2017 — By WSU News Services — Grace Wilkie Hall will be rededicated on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. and feature a guest speaker and ribbon cutting. An open house will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. to give attendees the opportunity to see the services available in Grace Wilkie.

The new FirePoint Innovations Center will be located in Wichita State's Experiential Engineering Building on the WSU Innovation Campus.

Oct 31, 2017 — By WSU News Services — Wichita State University has signed a Partnership Intermediary Agreement with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center to support a two-year, $1.9 million effort focused on fostering new research and development collaborations to advance military technology and move it more quickly into the hands of Army users.

Wichita State University's Shocker Studios, a state-of-the-art professional production space, is now open and home to the new Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts applied learning degree.
