The project, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, allowed City Hall to install occupancy sensors at the building; the WSU team analyzed the results.

For the industry as a whole, it was the second best performance in the 23 years researchers have tracked the performance of airlines, topped only by airline performance in 2011.
