In addition, Emily Stamey, curator of modern and contemporary art at the Ulrich Museum, will be leaving to accept the position of associate curator at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art in Scottsdale, Ariz.

According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, 36 million Americans have a hearing loss — this includes 17 percent of the adult population. Although nearly half of those over age 75 have hearing loss, Wichita State University audiologist Ray Hull says hearing loss isn't just a problem for the elderly.

Jun 12, 2012 — By WSU News Services — The Kodaly Children's Choir at Wichita State University has been invited to give two additional performances this year: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, in tribute to Don and Shirley Beggs; 4 p.m. the same day in honor of Wichita’s city employees. Its seventh annual culminating concert will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 15. All performances are free.

Jul 3, 2012 — By WSU News Services — Two Wichita State University faculty and three graduate students have co-authored the photo-based, local history book "Kansas -- In the Heart of Tornado Alley." The book is not a comprehensive listing of all major tornadic events in the state; rather, it shows the varied ways in which the tornado has shaped the lives of Kansans, and will likely continue to do so in the future.
