Sep 13, 2011 — By WSU News Services — NASA has invited five Wichita State University education students to participate in its Pre-Service Teachers Institute. Students will attend one of two sessions, June 19-25 or July 24-30.

Members of the Sport Management Student Association visited RedHawks Field in Bricktown in Oklahoma City. Staff at the ball park fielded questions from SMSA members. After the question-and-answer session, SMSA members ate at Coach’s Restaurant, meeting an executive from the OKC Baron hockey team.

May 25, 2011 — By Anthony Marrone — Members of the Sport Management Student Association visited Oklahoma City on Saturday, April 16. The group talked to members of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Barons and Redhawks. The trip was designed to give members of SMSA an idea of what sport management majors can do after graduation. It also helped connect WSU students to professionals from the Oklahoma City area.
