KMUW 89.1, Wichita Public Radio, will offer special programs to celebrate Memorial Day.

Throughout May, KMUW's “Crossroads” has been featuring the music of Robert Johnson to mark the centennial birthday of the Delta blues legend. The celebration concludes with the “Robert Johnson Centennial Celebration Special” at 11 p.m. Friday, May 27 and 8 p.m. Sunday, May 29.

Finally, KMUW celebrates Memorial Day with the special, “A Salute in Song for Memorial Day.” The 2-hour program highlights the stories and the music of America's military experience from the Civil War through to today's conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The program is a document of the nation's experience.

The holiday salute airs at 10 p.m. Monday, May 30.
