Wichita State Director of Athletics Darron Boatright has named Isaac Brown interim
head coach following the resignation of men's basketball coach Gregg Marshall.
"What the program needs right now is stability," Boatright said. "Isaac has been here
for seven years and has good rapport and relationships with the players and staff.
I think he is the natural choice."
Brown said:
"I know this is a difficult time for our kids, but we will come together as a team
and continue to compete. We have a great group of kids and staff, and we will work
hard each day to represent our school and our city."
Brown, 51, is in his 19th season overall at the Division I level, having also served
as an assistant at Louisiana Tech (2011-14), Arkansas State (2010-11), Arkansas (2007-10)
and South Alabama (2002-07).
