WSU Haysville Little Free Library
Danielle Gabor, previous Associate Director of WSU Haysville/WSU South, spearheaded an initiative, in collaboration with the City of Haysville, USD261, the Haysville Chamber of Commerce, the Haysville Community Library and other partners, to set up a network of Little Free Libraries in various locations in the City of Haysville to "build community, inspire readers and spark creativity". Each Little Free Library Location is registered under WSU Haysville with the Little Free Library Organization (www.littlefreelibrary.org).
After completion of the artwork on the LFL structure by Danielle Gabor, the flagship WSU LFL was inaugurated on January 25, 2019 outside WSU Haysville and was the first LFL to be installed in the WSU LFL network in Haysville. As of February 1, 2019, the LFL partners in the network includes:WSU Haysville:

- USD 261
- Haysville Healthy Habits (H3)
- Haysville Community Library

On November 21, 2019, we had the majority of the WSU LFLs in place for a ribbon cutting event at 4:30 pm at the Riggs Park LFL site to commemorate a major milestone for the project completion of the WSU LFL Network in Haysville. In January, 2023, two additional LFL sites were established in the WSU Haysville & Partners LFL Network: at Freeman and Rex elementary schools in Haysville.
Here is a LFL gallery in Haysville of the various LFL locations (see map of WSU Little Free Libraries Network in Haysville) as of June 28, 2022. Please visit these locations and enjoy the free books!
We thank all our partners who contributed to the costs and artwork of the LFLs at locations other than Wichita State Haysville, Skylar Nicholas and Tim Norton for volunteering to do the original artwork of some of the LFLs, and also John Gabor and other anonymous community members who have come forward and volunteered to repair some of the LFLs when it was needed. And, last but not least, all our patrons who have visited the LFLs in the network and have found some interesting books to read or to donate.
