May 25, 2021 -  The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University has partnered with the WSU Alumni Association to launch the college’s first alumni council. 

December 8, 2020 -- Wichita State’s Division of Diversity and Inclusion is organizing Tenacious Men, a program designed to provide mentoring and STEM education for under-represented students in Wichita Public Schools. The program, which will begin in January, will serve 10 third-graders and 10 fourth-graders and is sponsored by Textron Aviation.

October 12, 2020 - Wichita State University’s BAASE Learning Lounge provides a place for 32 African American and Hispanic male students to participate in remote learning on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic. BAASE (Better Academic and Social Excellence) is a college and career club in partnership with Wichita Public Schools. The BAASE Learning Lounge offers a welcoming place for students to participate in socially distanced learning and an opportunity to foster a culture of support and academic accountability for the participants.

October 7, 2020 - Downtown will glow from the light of illuminated art works from 6–9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, during the First Friday gallery crawl. “Get Lit: A Night of Light” is a collaboration between Wichita State’s ShiftSpace Gallery and Wichita Festivals Inc. The event will take place near the gallery’s location at Groover Labs, 334 St. Francis Ave.
