WSU Foundation announces new officers and board members

 
  • New officers have been named for the WSU Foundation's Board of Directors.
  • New board member for fiscal year 2019 have also been named.
  • Board members are eligible to serve two three-year terms.

New officers have been named for the WSU Foundation's 18-member Board of Directors. The board will be chaired by Debbie Haynes '76, a retired physician. Chair-elect is Dan Peare, '82, '85. Other officers are Denis Dieker, '77, '80, secretary; Jeff Turner, '83, treasurer; Paul Allen, '70, immediate past chair; Elizabeth King, WSU Foundation president and CEO; and Susan Barrett, assistant treasurer and WSU Foundation vice president for finance and operations.

New board members for fiscal year 2019 are Susayn Brandes '81; Jeff DeGraffenreid, '88; Bill Moore, '74; and Peare.

Brandes is chief executive officer of Great Plains Ventures Inc. DeGraffenreid is a partner in Foulston Siefkin LLP law firm. Moore is the retired CEO of Westar Energy. Peare is a member of Hinkle Law Firm LLC.

Other board members are Clark Bastian, '75; Martin Bauer; Mike James, '71; Jane McHugh, '80; Mike Michaelis; Lynn Nichols; Pam Palmer '85; Barry Schwan; and Chris Shank, '69.

Board members are eligible to serve two three-year terms. They also are part of the WSU Foundation National Advisory Council (NAC) and participate on one of the NAC's 10 standing committees.
