Wichita State University’s College of Applied Studies awarded five high school seniors the Doris and Ralph Klose Endowed Scholarship.
Each year, the Klose Scholarship offers a competition to high school seniors who declare a major in math or science education at WSU. Winners will each receive up to $20,000 in merit and Klose Scholarships upon entering the teacher education program their junior year.

The scholarship is the result of a gift of $7.5 million to fund undergrad scholarships in math and science education from the estate of WSU alumni Doris and Ralph Klose.
The College of Applied Studies awards scholarships to approximately 30 students each year through this fund, increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
