Sponsorships help support professional development for youth economic and financial literacy

The Kansas Council for Economic Education has received financial sponsorships from Koch Industries, the Koch Center for Leadership and Ethics and State Farm for their 2019 summer professional development events at Wichita State.

The first event, the Financial Fitness Extravaganza, will be held today (Tuesday, June 25) and Wednesday, June 26. It will provide content knowledge and lesson materials for personal finance teachers. The second event, Real-Life Applications for the Social Studies, will be held July 8 and 9, and will prepare social studies teachers to teach economics.

Registration for the Financial Fitness Extravaganza is closed, but teachers wanting to attend the July event can register through the KCEE’s website at www.kcee.wichita.edu.
