Airline Quality Rating report to be announced Monday, May 3

On Monday, May 3, findings from the Airline Quality Rating (AQR) will be announced. The AQR is a report on how the nation’s largest commercial airlines performed in the past year.

Now in its 31st year, the AQR originated at Wichita State University’s W. Frank Barton School of Business and ranks as the premier statistical study of major airline performance in the U.S. An objective comparison of airline quality, it is the nation’s longest-running study of its kind.

2020 was no doubt a unique year that presented one of the most complex sets of challenges ever for the airline industry. A media release and full report – as well as opportunities to conduct interviews with WSU’s lead researcher Dean Headley, emeritus associate professor of marketing in the Barton School – will be available May 3.
