A statement by Wichita State University President Rick Muma on Gov. Kelly's proposed budget:

“After reviewing Gov. Kelly’s budget request, we’re encouraged and optimistic about her plan to enhance higher education. If enacted, this budget presents a remarkable opportunity for Wichita State and the state of Kansas. These funds would ensure that Wichita State University can advance our priorities to provide affordable and accessible education for Kansas families, fuel the talent pipeline to help Kansas businesses grow, and contribute to the overall prosperity of our state. We look forward to working with Gov. Kelly and our state’s lawmakers to improve the lives of the people in the communities we serve.”
