Wichita State alumnus Julius Thomas III, who made a name for himself starring as Alexander Hamilton on the national tour of "Hamilton" and has starred in multiple Broadway productions, returns to Wichita to perform on the WSU campus.
Presented by the WSU School of Performing Arts in the College of Fine Arts, “One-Night Only with Julius Thomas III” is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5 in Wiedemann Hall, followed by a special artist talk from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 6 in Wichita State Connect.
Tickets for “One-Night Only with Julius Thomas III” are $35, and the artist talk is free to the public. WSU students get in free to the performance with Shocker ID.
This unique performance event will highlight a mixture of beloved musical theater repertoire, contemporary works and iconic favorites. Audiences can expect selections from “Hamilton,” “Pippin,” “Cinderella,” “Shrek the Musical,” “The Scottsboro Boys” and more.
The evening is made possible by the College of Fine Arts Connoisseur Series, with generous support from The Sam and Rie Bloomfield Foundation and The Hickman Musical Theatre Guest Artist Fund.

A celebrated performer with a dynamic career spanning Broadway, national tours and television, Julius Thomas III has been recognized for his commanding presence and electrifying musicality. He has appeared in four Broadway shows, six national tours and numerous television productions, including “Modern Family,” “Sesame Street” and “Law & Order.” His critically praised performances in “Hamilton” and “Motown: The Musical” have earned him national distinction and an NAACP Theatre Award nomination.
