This evening (Aug. 3) a suspicious device was reported at the Law Enforcement Training Center. In response, emergency protocols were implemented, the area was evacuated, and law enforcement personnel responded and conducted a thorough investigation.
The authorities have cleared the area and determined that there is no ongoing threat to campus safety. The area is safe for normal operations to resume.
We appreciate the cooperation and patience of our campus community and our law enforcement partners as they worked to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
At this time, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and is appropriate to share.
