Dean Elledge was named the new director of the AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) program at Wichita State University, effective Aug. 18, according to Keith Pickus, interim dean of the College of Health Professions.

“Elledge’s extensive clinical and teaching experience will be invaluable for the AEGD program, and we look forward to him joining the College of Health Professions School of Oral Health,” said Pickus.

“I also want to express my gratitude and appreciation for the work of Dr. Dexter Woods, the founding director of the AEGD program at Wichita State,” said Pickus.

Elledge currently serves as assistant director of the AEGD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, a position he has held since 1992. He also has been an associate professor of prosthodontics since 1985.
