The USD 259 Wichita Public Schools fine arts department has been selected to receive a U.S. Department of Education Professional Development for Arts Educators Program grant. The $355,000 award will fund the Accentuating Music, Language and Cultural Literacy through Kodaly-Inspired Instruction project. The venture, a three-year collaborative effort with the WSU School of Music, will provide USD 259 educators expert training for use with students of every economic and cultural background.
