Reminders

* The Kansas Health Policy Authority from Topeka will host a medical insurance informational meeting at 1 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 25) in the Great Plains Room, 215-218 Rhatigan Student Center. All benefits-eligible employees are urged to attend this meeting to better understand the new options and changes that will be offered for 2009.

* The Political Science Club and Campaign and Elections Class will present a high-level forum with audience Q & A called "Obama vs. McCain," with GOP national committeeman Mike Pompeo and Democratic national committeeman Lee Kinch, from 2-3:15 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 25) in 226 Jabara Hall. The event is open to the public.

* The first seminar in the Entrepreneurship Forum Series on venture financing titled "Financing the Start-up" will be held from 3-4 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 25) in 107 Devlin Hall.

* The Center for Teaching and Research Excellence will host "Motivating Students" from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, in 228 Hubbard Hall. Although aimed especially at newer faculty, everyone is welcome. A box lunch will be provided for anyone who RSVPs to ctre@wichita.edu by 2 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 25).

* In conjunction with the Diversity Day Celebration sponsored by the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, WSU's international student organizations will display cultural artifacts from around the world and educate visitors about their native countries/regions from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 25) at 230 E. William, room 3080 (SRS Downtown Office).
