* A panel discussion, "Three Habits of Successful Researchers," will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in 223 Hubbard Hall. The event is aimed at pre-tenure faculty, but all faculty and staff are welcome. A free box lunch will be provided to those who RSVP to ctre@wichita.edu by noon Wednesday, Oct. 8.

* The WSU Political Science Club and Professor Mel Kahn's American Politics class will host an appearance by Jim Slattery, Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 7) in 114 Lindquist Hall.
