Bukonda to give presentations in Africa

Ngoyi Bukonda, associate professor in the department of public health sciences, has been selected as a speaker for the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) Institute on Health, Politics, and Society in Africa. The institute will take place this month in Dakar, Senegal, and Bukonda will present a series of three lectures between Tuesday, Oct. 14-Friday, Oct. 17, on the "Production and Global Distribution of Pharmaceutical Products: Footprints and Consequences of Colonialism in the Diffusion of Medicine into African Health Care Systems." Bukonda was selected based on his international expertise in building public health administration capacity in Africa.
