The Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty is co-sponsoring its annual meeting with WSU's School of Community Affairs and will feature the documentary "At the Death House Door" at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, in 200 Ahlberg Hall. The documentary chronicles the experience of Texas' death house Chaplain Rev. Carroll Pickett who was present for 95 executions, including that of Carlos de Luna, whom he thought to be innocent. DeLuna's death deeply troubled Pickett. The documentary reveals how this death and others have affected Pickett's perspective on the death penalty.
