Peter Meinke, this year's Visiting Distinguished Poet, will read from his work at 3:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in Ablah Library, lower level, in the first in a series of three National Poetry Month readings. Meinke's body of work includes 14 books of poems, two collections of short stories and "The Shape of Poetry: A Practical Guide to Writing Poetry." The award-winning poet and author will have books available for purchase and signing. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
