* Three candidates for director of undergraduate admissions are interviewing on campus this week. The campus community is invited to an open forum with Heather Eckstein from 1:30-2:30 p.m. today (Friday, July 11) in 314 RSC. * Students of the Upward Bound Math Science Regional Center will present their research and experimental findings from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. today (Friday, July 11) in 218 Hubbard Hall. Topics range from the performance of alternative fuels to the pest resistance of genetically modified vegetables to velocity differences between generic and name-brand water guns. Audience members are welcome to participate as judges at this come-and-go event.

* Due to repairs/carpet replacement, the Campus Post Office will close at 1 p.m. today (Friday, July 11). It will reopen Monday with normal hours.

* KMUW FM89 will air the eight-part special "London Calling," featuring Joe Strummer's original shows, starting today (Friday, July 11), and every Friday thereafter through Aug. 29. The series will air in the Global Village time slot at 9 p.m. on KMUW FM89, and at midnight, 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on KMUW HD2. Listen online at kmuw.org.

* The Office of International Education needs more than 100 students (American and international) for the production of an admissions video.
