* In conjunction with its July Americana music feature, KMUW's Global Village will celebrate the birthday of dustbowl legend and Americana original Woody Guthrie today (Monday, July 14). The program of Guthrie tunes will include some surprising covers, new material from the Woody Guthrie archives and selections from the new two-disc Woody Guthrie Tribute Tour set. Global Village airs weeknights at 9 p.m. on KMUW, FM 89.1 and at midnight, 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on KMUW HD2, which you can hear online at www.kmuw.org.

* Among college students, 21 percent report they have experienced dating violence by a current partner, and 32 percent report dating violence by a previous partner.
