Kathy Sexton was honored with the 2008 Alumni Award For Outstanding Public Service at the Hugo Wall School's Celebration of Excellence and Commencement luncheon in May. Her enthusiasm for service is evident through her chosen profession in public management and her numerous volunteer activities in the community. Over the past 16 years, Kathy has held positions with the state of Kansas and Sedgwick County, and is city manager of Derby. Sexton also has played a critical role in creating the Hugo Wall School Advisory Board and served as the board's first president during the 2007-2008 academic year.
