Radical needlework coming to the Ulrich Museum

Stop by the Ulrich Museum this afternoon (Thursday, March 27) as Chicago-based artists Stan and Dutes (Stan Shellabarger and Dutes Miller) perform "radical needlework" from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor galleries. Known for their endurance performance art, Stan and Dutes will crochet "Untitled (Pink Tube)." Following the performance, the work will be on view in The Suburban, a re-creation of the alternative gallery space directed by Michelle Grabner, through April 13. This WSU performance, a first for Stan and Dutes, is free and open to the public. The Wichita Eagle's Sunday Arts section featured an article on the duo and their upcoming performance at the Ulrich: http://www.kansas.com/entertainment/story/349617.html
