A celebration of life for Betty Welsbacher, professor emerita, special education in the School of Music, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 7202 E. 21st St. in Wichita. Welsbacher, who died July 31, is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Welsbacher; son Charles Richard "Rick" Welsbacher; daughter Anne Welsbacher and son-in-law Corey Swertfager; sister Jane Staehle; one step-granddaughter; three nieces; and two nephews.
