Send energy research input to Jewell

An Aug. 19 meeting at the Kansas Geological Survey in Lawrence will focus on research priorities at WSU, the University of Kansas and Kansas State University. According to the Kansas Energy Council, the agenda is as follows:

"Our purpose is to identify, for the Kansas Energy Council, areas in which enhanced research activity could aid the development of potential energy sources in the state. In doing so, we need to consider the state's energy needs and opportunities; where other sources of research support are currently available and where they are not; and those areas in which energy research in the state is particularly strong or where additional funding might be especially beneficial. In short, we need to identify places in which Kansas has energy potential, but where current research funding is unavailable or insufficient. For the sake of our work, we should consider research in both traditional and alternative energy sources."
