LAPO to host Welcomefest event

LAPO is currently celebrating the 400th anniversary of the invention of the telescope. The observatory will use its 16-inch telescope to observe Jupiter, a double star, a star cluster, a cloud of interstellar gas and a distant galaxy, and discuss the telescopes that were used to make historic discoveries related to them.
