The Ulrich Museum of Art at Wichita State University has two upcoming events in September.

• “Nature’s Toolbox: Biodiversity, Art and Invention” connects art and science in an exhibition of the contemporary works of more than 40 international artists in media, ranging from 3D animation and video sculpture, to an installation of more than 90,000 wooden chopsticks. The exhibition is on view until Dec. 15 in the Amsden and Polk/Wilson galleries, and will be celebrated at the fall party at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.
   
• “The Beautiful Math of Coral” is a keynote talk by Margaret Wertheim, a TED-Talk presenter, prolific science writer and master crochet artist. Learn about finding beauty at the intersection of nature, math and physics. The event is 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at WSU’s CAC Theater. Admission is free, and the program is open to the public.
