Wichita Home School wins regional robotics competition

Teams representing Kansas BEST were once again dominant at the regional Frontier Trails BEST competition at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Dec. 9-10.

Wichita Home School won the BEST Award for the third consecutive year, based on a project notebook, oral presentation, table display, interview, robot performance and overall spirit and sportsmanship. Circle High School, Towanda, Kan., finished third behind Metro Home School of Kansas City, Mo.

Wichita Home School also won the Game Award. Ambassadors for Christ Academy, Bentonville, Ark., finished fourth after winning the Kansas BEST game competition in November.

Kansas BEST is sponsored by Wichita State University’s College of Engineering.
