KBOR work group seeks input on social media policy revision

The Kansas Board of Regents' Social Media Work Group has completed its draft recommendations for a revision of the existing KBOR Social Media policy.

The existing policy, announced last year, prompted concerns from faculty across the system and groups representing faculty from across the country. In response, KBOR established a work group comprising faculty and staff from all the Regents institutions. The work group was tasked with reviewing the existing policy and crafting a version that addresses faculty concerns while at the same time honoring the Board’s original goals.

The Social Media Work Group is now seeking feedback on the discussion draft from the entire university community. Wichita State University's representatives to the work group, Victoria Mosack, president of the Faculty Senate, and Richard Muma, associate vice president for academic affairs, have established a website for the purpose of gathering feedback from WSU. Feedback will be received from Monday, March 3 through Friday, March 28.
