WSU plans event to discuss the aging manufacturing workforce

Wichita State's Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR) has planned its first Wichita Industry Research Exchange, featuring a presentation and panel discussion on the aging workforce in manufacturing economies. The event will take place from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, in Room 180 of Hughes Metropolitan Complex. This event is free and will include refreshments. Register at www.WIRE.cedbr.org.

Each year this event will highlight economic and industry research from WSU faculty and community professionals. This year’s topic was chosen based on the research of Masud Chand, assistant professor of international business, who will speak at the event. The Wichita Manufacturer’s Association has partnered with CEDBR in planning the event.

The presentation will be followed by highlights from a survey conducted by CEDBR among WMA members and a panel discussion featuring panelists with legal, human resource and manufacturing expertise.

Media are welcome to attend.
