More than 2,400 students eligible for spring commencement

More than 2,400 students are eligible to participate in the 117th spring commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday, May 15-16, at Wichita State University. All ceremonies will be held in Charles Koch Arena.

Undergraduate and graduate degrees will be conferred in individual college ceremonies. The schedule for college ceremonies is:

  • Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences -- 3 p.m. Friday, May 15
  • College of Health Professions -- 7 p.m. Friday, May 15
  • College of Engineering -- 8 a.m. Saturday, May 16
  • College of Education -- 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16
  • W. Frank Barton School of Business -- 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16
  • College of Fine Arts -- 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16

Attendees for the Friday ceremonies may want to consider taking the WSU Shuttle System. The shuttle’s Metroplex Route will run normal hours on Friday, May 15, ending at 10 p.m., with free parking available at a satellite park-and-ride lot at 21st and Oliver. The closest stop to Koch Arena is the Wiedemann Hall stop. No shuttle service will be available for Saturday, May 16, ceremonies. Go to wichita.edu/shuttle for route maps and stop information.
